As a Finance Administrator, you will serve as the main point of contact for office colleagues regarding financial inquiries. Your role involves managing invoice payments, ensuring timely receipt of funds, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping and general ledger records. You will also be responsible for reaching out to clients regarding payments and enhancing processes to mitigate potential issues across all locations. This position requires close collaboration with colleagues and our back-office planning team to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities

General Ledger Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records by ensuring all bank transactions are properly categorized and recorded daily. You will manage key financial tasks like credit card reconciliations, handling ad-hoc requests from both inside and outside the team, and preparing essential financial backups for accountants and third parties who require accurate data.

 

Efficient Accounts Payable: Take ownership of processing and booking invoices for multiple entities within our group, ensuring they are accurately recorded in our financial system. You’ll also handle timely payments of approved invoices and keep our records up to date by investigating and resolving any discrepancies between received invoices and outgoing payments.

 

Efficient Accounts Receivable: Support the monthly closing procedures by verifying that recorded hours are accurate and preparing invoices for distribution. You’ll assist the Finance Controller to ensure our colleagues’ invoices are paid promptly and help streamline the billing process.

 

Monthly Reporting: Assist the Financial Controller in preparing accurate and timely monthly financial reports, contributing to a clear overview of our financial performance.

 

Effective Communication and Coaching: Act as the primary financial point of contact for guests and partners, addressing all inquiries related to invoicing, payments, and reconciliations with Securance. Support and guide colleagues to improve the accuracy of outgoing invoices, helping them perform their roles effectively.

Your team

In this role, you will report into our Financial Controller and work closely with our back-office planning team. You take responsibility and you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves.

In addition, you have:

  • MBO/HBO educational level, degree with a background in administration (MBO Business Administration or BDP is a pre).
  • 3-5 years of work experience in an financial supportive role
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • You learn quickly and are not afraid to ask questions.
  • You have a passion for finance, processes and continuous improvement.
  • Proactive and positive attitude, able to work independently.
  • You live in the Netherlands and have a valid working and living permit for the Netherlands.
